Rules for the Disrupter Quilt Challenge 2023:

Sign-up:

1. To participate in the challenge, you must sign up using the provided Google Form link.
2. The deadline for registration is September 23, 2023, by midnight ET. Late registrations will not be accepted.
3. Once signed up, you will receive an email containing the complete rules and guidelines of the challenge.
4. By signing up, you confirm that you have read and understood the rules and agree to abide by them throughout the challenge.
5. Your personal information collected during sign-up will be used solely for the purposes of the Disrupter Quilt Challenge and will not be shared with any third parties without your consent.
6. If you no longer wish to participate in the challenge after signing up, please notify the organizers as soon as possible.

Weekly Challenges:

1. There will be a total of four weekly challenges throughout the duration of the challenge.
2. Each weekly challenge will be announced on the following dates: September 25, October 2, October 9, and October 16, 2023.
3. The instructions for each week's challenge will be released on Instagram and emailed to participants at 9 am ET on the respective Mondays.
4. The instructions will include details about the theme, design elements, and any specific techniques or materials to be incorporated into the quilt for that week.
5. Participants are encouraged to unleash their creativity and think outside the box while adhering to the given guidelines.
6. To qualify for the weekly prize, participants must create a quilt that aligns with the challenge theme and submit it for review.
7. The quilt entries for each weekly challenge must be submitted no later than midnight on the following dates: October 1 for the first challenge, October 8 for the second challenge, October 15 for the third challenge, and October 22, 2023, for the fourth challenge.
8. The Google Form link for submitting the entries will be emailed to participants at 9 am ET on the Monday of each challenge.
9. Participants may only submit one entry per weekly challenge.
10. Entries must be original creations of the participant and must not infringe upon the intellectual property rights of others.
11. The quilt size, fabric requirements, and any additional specifications will be provided in the weekly challenge instructions.
12. Participants are responsible for providing their own materials and equipment needed for creating their quilts.
13. Participants are encouraged to document their creative process and share progress photos on social media using the designated hashtag #DisrupterQuiltChallenge2023.

Sponsor Prizes:

1. Each weekly challenge will be sponsored by a company that has generously donated a prize.
2. The prize details, including the sponsor's name and the specific prize being offered, will be mentioned in the weekly challenge announcement and email.
3. When submitting your entry for the weekly challenge, you will be assigned a number based on the order of your entry.
4. The sponsor will randomly select a number from the entries received, and the corresponding entry will be declared the winner of that week's challenge.
5. The winners of each weekly challenge will be notified by email and announced on Instagram, mentioning their name and showcasing their winning quilt.
6. Prizes will be shipped or otherwise arranged for delivery to the winners directly by the sponsoring company. The organizers will not be responsible for any issues or delays in prize delivery.
7. The grand prize winner, determined through the "Viewer's Choice" contest, will receive a special prize.
8. The details of the grand prize, including the sponsor's name and the specific prize, will be announced closer to the final contest.

Timeframe for Completion:

1. Participants will be given a specific time period to complete their quilts for each weekly challenge.
2. The exact dates and deadlines for each challenge will be clearly communicated in the emailed rules and guidelines.
3. It is important to carefully review the instructions and guidelines for each challenge and allocate sufficient time for designing, piecing, quilting, and finishing your quilt.
4. Participants are responsible for managing their time effectively to ensure timely completion and submission of their entries.
5. If a participant is unable to complete and submit a quilt for a particular challenge, they can still complete the work and submit it for the subsequent challenges. However, they will not be eligible for the prize of the missed challenge.
6. The organizers encourage participants to engage with the quilting community and share their progress, tips, and support throughout the challenge.
7. Participants are responsible for any costs associated with the creation of their quilts, including materials, tools, and shipping fees, if applicable.

Final Contest:

1. After the completion of the four weekly challenges, there will be a final contest.
2. Participants will be required to submit their completed quilts from all four challenges for the final contest.
3. All the final entries will be scheduled to be posted on Instagram at the same time to ensure fairness and equal exposure.
4. The quilts will be showcased on Instagram, along with the participant's name and a brief description of their inspiration and process.
5. The public will have the opportunity to participate in a "Viewer's Choice" contest where they can vote for their favorite submission.
6. Voting for the "Viewer's Choice" contest will begin on November 10, 2023, at 9 am ET and close on November 17, 2023, at 9 am ET.
7. Participants are encouraged to promote their entries and engage with the audience to garner votes during the voting period.
8. The winner of the "Viewer's Choice" contest will be determined based on the highest number of votes received from the public.
9. The announcement of the "Viewer's Choice" winner will take place on November 18, 2023, at 1 pm ET on Instagram and via email to all participants.

The "Viewer's Choice" winner will be recognized as the overall winner of the Disrupter Quilt Challenge 2023 and will receive a special prize.

The organizers reserve the right to disqualify any participant who violates the rules, engages in inappropriate conduct, or submits work that does not meet the challenge guidelines.
